The variety Zambesi is chosen as this year’s most popular lily by visitors of the Dutch Lily Days and online voters across the world. The amount of votes and attention to Lily League® proves its success formula; a parade of the most beautiful and appreciated lily varieties of this moment. The outcome of this year’s Lily League also brought a new winning contestant. Amy Lee of Formosa Horticulture in Taiwan wins a free flight ticket to the Dutch Lily Days 2019 or a free travelers cheque of € 1.000.

Lily Specialist Gerard Vermeulen casts his first vote for Lily League

Poeldijk, June 1st, 2018 - On June 5th, the first day of the Dutch Lily Days, Gerard Vermeulen, lily specialist and auctioneer at Royal FloraHolland, will bring out the first official vote for the 2018 Lily League®, the top 50 of the world's most appreciated lily varieties.

Auctioneer Gerard Vermeulen and the top 10 in the Lily League

Honselersdijk, 5 June 2018 – Well before the auction clock at 11 am, Gerard Vermeulen, lily specialist and auctioneer at Royal FloraHolland, does his round through the test greenhouse of Onings Holland in Honselersdijk. On the opening day of the Dutch Lily Days, the first official vote is cast for the Lily League®, the top 50 of the world's most valued lily varieties. And the first person to prepare a benchmark with his knowledge of the top 10 most appealing lilies is Vermeulen.

Lily competition breaks loose from June 5th

May 24th 2018 – After the previous successful years of the Lily League, the competition of lilies continues in 2018. From June 5th anyone can vote for the 3rd edition of the Lily League.
